The SangaMensan
The newsletter for Sangamon Valley Mensa
Our newsletter wants contributions, especially from local group members. Subjects may be interests of Mensa related activity or of a more individual nature.
The concept of what is a good newsletter article is not difficult. The editor is no substantive editor. Contributions are considered the author’s thoughts as if a work of art. The editor does reserve the right to decide what to print or what not to print in the newsletter as guided according to the Editor’s Handbook, all fairly common sense.
The area covered by Sangamon Valley Mensa is stretched
out. (See map below) The newsletter is a forum. Let’s make it a good forum. There is always a calendar for local events
in The SangaMensan. Much of The
SangaMensan is reserved for member articles.
It may be appropriate here to mention two things:
1)
There is an online version of The
SangaMensan available. Taking the newsletter electronically in PDF form
saves a bit of printing costs and postage.
It also may help save a tree. Check
a hard copy issue of The SangaMensan
if you might be interested in receiving the online version rather than hard
copy by mail. The online version of the
newsletter is the same file by which the newsletter printed. To see The
SangaMensan online or to see other newsletters of participating local
groups visit www.us.mensa.org/newsletters
. It is a “login” required site
2) There are two major information sources for Mensa. One is the Web site for American Mensa, Ltd. The Web site has links to all sorts of information. It is really very good. Another information source is The Bulletin The Magazine of American Mensa, also full of information.
